Stargate: We're not in Kansas Anymore

 Season Four — Destiny

14 episodes. Now the franchise starts exploding outward.

The first half is still primarily Langaran.

Then:

# Title What the audience thinks / what we're doing
1 After Atlantis
2 The Ninth Symbol
3 Seizure I'd actually reuse the SGU title deliberately because that's the episode in which Langara and the Destiny dialing problem collided originally.
4 An Acceptable Risk
5 Meridian The fandom expects Daniel. Instead this is finally the episode where our younger characters learn what happened to Jonas and Daniel all those years ago
6 600 Megaton The horrifying physics of what they're contemplating.
7 Chevron Nine
8 Incoming

And Incoming is the Rush episode.

No Robert Carlyle in publicity.

No trailer shot.

The gate establishes.

Facility begins coming apart.

A human silhouette appears in the event horizon.

Rush comes running through.

"SHUT IT DOWN!"

Cut to opening titles.

And for the first time in four seasons, The Notebook title sequence changes.

A new page has appeared.

DESTINY.

Then:

9 The Long Way Home
A Young Ohhhh, this one would be wicked. Is it Colonel Young? Is it about somebody young? You don't know.
B The Signal
C Gauntlet Another deliberate SGU echo; Gauntlet was its televised endpoint.
D The Edge of Everything
E Unending

And Unending is where Daniel Jackson appears.

Not because Unending was Daniel's episode specifically, but because it's an SG-1 title carrying exactly the sentiment we want: the journey didn't end when the television series did.

STARGATE UNIVERSE: DESTINY

That's when you've earned the next feature.
